The safe choice. Nothing about it is exciting, but it has the car park, it has a lift, and it is ninety seconds from the harbour. If the weekend turns wet this is the one we would not regret.
Upper Marlow
The one with the character, and the one that is hardest to compare. No published rate, no room sizes, and booking is a phone call. Rated highest of the four on a moderate number of reviews — but no kitchen, and the stairs would matter if anyone is carrying anything heavy.
Headland
Best position of the four if the point of the trip is the cliff path, and the drying room is a more useful feature than it sounds. The walk into town is the whole argument against it, and it is the argument that wins if it rains.
Harbourside
The one built for this particular weekend rather than the one you would photograph. Only option with a kitchen, which solves the late Friday arrival on its own. Highest rated of the four — but on far fewer reviews than the others, because it opened last year. No room heater stated, only hot water, which is the one thing on the list it misses.
